Hi everyone, first time poster on this forum. BBNT (Burgers Burritos Nachos Taco's) was meant to be opening up in Sunbury. Does anyone know what's happening there? I ate at their city store a while back and thought they were pretty good. Be a bit different to the dozens of charcoal chicken and fish and chip shops in Sunbury.

sorry havent herd anything about BBNT, however Just The Name Burgers Burritos Nachos Taco's sounds delicious. I hope they do end up opening one here. Be a bit different to the dozens of charcoal chicken and fish and chip shops in Sunbury. lol, so true, never in my life have I lived in a town with as many Chicken shops as Sunbury.

Hey!! Have not heard of this one, But they are renovating the old shop that Flame grilled chicken used to be in - opposite Hungry Jacks idn't see the name, but did say they do souvlakis & Stuff. Could this be them? That does sound awesome though.. we need something with more variety.

Sorry Brendy don't know, but I actually don't share your enthusiasm about BBNT. I went to one in King St in the city and I thought it was horrid. I hated their cooking methods and I thought the food was sub-standard. Won't be visiting if it ends up here. I can deal with the fish & chip shops and charcoal chicken shops. It seems to be everyones' favourite whinge topic in Sunbury, but I can't see the problem. It's called competition and choice. If there was only one or two everyone would be carrying on about not enough choice. What's the big deal??

Hey Bandicoot
It's all well and good to have competition and I agree competition is good, but I think what everyone is really getting at is that there isn't enough variety of places to eat in Sunbury. Do we need more fish and chip shops or pizza shops or could we do with something different.

Brendy as far as take-away goes how much more variety do you want? Yes we have many fish and chip shops and charcoal chicken, but there's also pizza, souvlaki, kebabs, chinese, indian, thai, vietnamese, mexican, smoothies as well as the chains (McDonalds, KFC, Red Rooster, Hungry Jacks). In any case, I respect your view. Interestingly, discussions I've had with others on the topic is that they simply don't want all these takeaway food places - it's not so much about the variety, they just don't see the point in having so many. In which case I return to my original point about competition.

Hi guys, I believe the people who originally were going to build the BBNT store in sunbury had the franchise management come out to the prospective site before the shop was up and told the owners pretty much it wouldnt survive at the location. It was supposed to be on the spot where Souvlaki Hut is now.. And the owners then went ahead, openned their own chicken and chip shop and it closed down in record time due to lack of profit or business.. I have contemplated for many years of running sunbury's first Home Delivery Pizza and Fish And Chip shop.. So many people have told me that it would be great to have Fish and Chips delivered. The only problem is getting the goods to the householder in a satisfactory time to guarantee the quality of the chips and fried goods.. who knows one day MAYBE

we need - the QLD franchise Uncle tony's Kebabsin sunbury, I had one a month or so ago when I was on the gold coast, best kebab I ever ate and they Actually have Beef, all the time, and the nice melt in your mouth flakes of beef insted of Huge Horrid Chunks of Grisstle mixed Beef. I love Kebabs but Im just so sick of only being able to get Lamb or Chicken Kebabs.

Sorry for the late reply but I wanted to add that I have also been dissappointed with kebabs in Victoria. When I lived interstate they actually cut the fresh meat off the big thingy and it was sort of shredded(?) IYKWIM.
Souvlaki Hut is a bit too exy for our family and not really to the kids taste. Nandos I love, but again too exy for a regular treat.
O'Shannassy F and C's are the best IMO!

It sounds like you need to try Cheeky kebabs in Evans street, if you like your meat thinly cut, or if you like it thicker, try Sunbury Kebabs in O'Shannessy street. They both have good fresh off the spit meat. If you like heavily herbed meat, try The new little cafe - i think it's name is Chet's in Evans street, near cosmic clothing. personally though, i would go for the BBQ ribs from Hot Rock Diner over a kebab anyday

Nowadays, a lot of fast food restaurants are competing just like McDonald's, Wendy's, Jollibee, Hungry Jacks, KFC, Burger King, and others. However, I want McDonald and Wendy's because they are great for me. They have a lot of branches in different places.

My family are not big takeaway food eaters everyone likes different things so the cost can add up. But I do have to admit I miss Domino's pizzas we loved their meatlovers and cheeseburger pizzas and I didn't have to buy 4 pizzas for 4 different tastes.

Eagle Boys is great!! Tried a pizza myself the other day, BUT i will say the ice cream, not so good. I think they must have their freezer up a wee bit too high. They did include a menu though... next time i am getting wings!!

At Vic's the garlic bread is great, spot with that. Olive Tree is also good.
Eagles Boys is great made my brother pretty happy as after living in Queensland for a while he got used to there pizza and was happy when it took over Encore. They were relatively expensive when they first started, but I've found that your their 2 Premium Pizza Meal deal has dropped down to $25 rather than $32.
You like the meat lovers JD, give the Caveman a try.
Vic's and Olive Tree for me have the best steaks, pricey at Vic's but well worth every cent
