Does anyone know of any book clubs in the area?

I read a lot, but i don't know if there is a group that discusses the books or anything?

I've never been a part of a book club before but have always been curious....

 Huh? Smiley

What type of books are you in to?

If you like a good escape read, with some action & good storyline, Lee child Has a series about a guy named Jack Reacher. This is a great series, which really draws you into the story. You quickly find yourself backing Reacher in pretty much any situation. There are quite a few books in the series, latest is i think Bad luck & Trouble or Die Trying.

If you are more into horror, or more real crime fiction, then james patterson has some good, gripping reads, some based on Alex Cross from kiss the girls which patterson also wrote, & Along came a spider, wich he wrote too i think. Jack and Jill is a good one, really good storline.

More into the heaps more intense real crime type fiction is a character named Maggie O'Dell from Alex Kava's Series. These are fantastic. But they are very intense, full on books, Maggie being a FBI Profiler, who gets stalked by Serial killers & Worse. Read the back of these before you read the whole thing. But if you do read it, you will find it one of the best books you have read. Some of the best are Soul catcher, a Perfect Evil & a Neccessary Evil.   Smiley

I Really Love the old book "Fire-Fly Summer" by Mauve Binchy.
its a Fantastic book based in country Ireland in a small town on the verge of a big hotel development, focusing mainly on the Ryan family who own and run the small pub across the river from the new hotel site & Patrick (The Developer) & his family who's roots stem from the area.  the actions & consequences caused from the development of the hotel impact both families so dramatically that by the end of this book you will have laughed, Cried & really become connected to all of the charactors.

This Book is a Must Read.

I prefer Picture books....      Wink

the best book I have ever read has gotta be

'All Quite on the Western Front'     Based on a true historical events (WW1) Basically the book is awsome, action packed, emotional & much more.     to Put it simply it takes the view "there are no Winners when it comes to War"   on any side (GERMAN) (FRENCH) or (ENGLISH) there are Fathers, Bothers & Sons, all fighting for the freedom of there Family & country.

Anyway Have a Read or Hire the Movie.......

I have read both, although i don't remember the details of all quiet, but they were both great reads.

I must say i recently started reading the Harry Potter series, and i'm on the second last one. They are extremely well written and really do (surprisingly, as they are not usually my sort of thing) grab your attention. Has any one else read these? what did you think of them?

Update though - I have just finished reading the Last Harry Potter Book, And i must say it is Incredible!!! I could not put it down!!! Seriously, i was late to a few things because i didn't want to stop rreading! It is excellent, But i am scared to say anything unless i give it away!!!
